Energy Increase 1.40%, Consumer Staples Drop 0.45%

The market sectors were mixed today with a majority of the sectors trending up. Energy saw the biggest increase of the day (1.40%), while Consumer Staples saw the biggest drop (0.45%). Consumer Discretionary has seen the biggest year-to-date gain at 10%. The biggest loss this year has been the Telecommunication Services sector dropping 12%.

Energy saw the biggest turnaround from its 5-day performance of -1.82%, as it went up 1.40%. Consumer Staples and Telecommunication Services experienced turn arounds from their five day positive performance, Consumer Staples with a drop of 0.45%.
